Place is old, little far from downtown...
The apartment had everything you would need and was close to the city centre
We were disappointed in the standard of this accommodation. Reception staff were often unable to understand English making it difficult to speak with them. We could not check out after 5pm or before 8:30. We asked for a receipt to be sent however this has still not arrived. One evening when we had a concern after 5pm we called reception, however the response was that we would have to wait till morning. The computer available was only suitable for web, with no access to word docs. The lighting in the room was poor and the room was in need of renovation.
Nothing was a problem, all questions were answered, the staff was extremely pleasant.
Maybe the Kitchen cupboard were a little old. That did not really bother me.
I loved being able to have our own little "apartment' in Florence. It made it feel like home, we could escape the city when we wanted, although we didn't want to all the time.
The place was great, and it wasn't unreachable to anything, but I would say it was 10 mins further than many other options, but for the price it wasn't bad. You just get use to walking. The train station is fairly close.
The little restaurants and shops near the Residence were convenient. The shower was spacious. The apartment was large. Considering the facilities alone, this is a great deal for your money.
The noise! We were on floor 3, meaning the 4th story. We could hear babies crying on the sidewalks below. We could hear people talking. The noise from the traffic was ridiculously loud. This is not very close to the city center, however there is a tram that stops close and takes you there. The breakfast is a (very) small basket of prepackaged food.
Location was good. Facilities in the room excellent.
Although the parking was reserved and confirmed, one day before leaving the magnetic card was de-activated and we could not go in or out the garage. The staff didn't say at least sorry about this unpleasant incident.
The staffs, Sandra and Fernando were extremely helpful and courteous. They went the extra mile to meet our requirements and expectations of the rooms during our stay (additional blanket, water kettle and replaced light bulb). Fernando printed information and directions from the Internet for us to visit prada space and The mall which was very helpful. Overall, my family and I have a pleasant and memorable impression of Residence Porta Al Prato and will definitely stay there in our future visit. Mohd Zainal Singapore
The traffic noise in the evening was a bit annoying but we got use to it.
After a series of cramped hotel rooms it was nice to have space where the boys and I could have separate rooms. A welcome change to have a living room to relax in and a kitchen to make some food for ourselves, also I was able to do a couple of loads of washing which had been quite difficult in most places.
i wish, there was high speed wi fi in the hotel, internet speed was very poor also the computer at the lobby was very old and weak
Comfortable, spacious apartment outside the city center but only a short walk to bus/tram stops and a short trip to the station/ city center
Location, kitchen facilities. Supply of sparkling water in foyer very welcome
Advertise wifi, but not available. Our room had a musty smell from water leakage from bathroom. Room very noisy at night.
Just two moments: poor Internet (wifi) connectivity and weak water streams.
The big balcony, and the vintage furniture - without being worn-out.
-room design -facilities -parking ( big courtyard )
-noisy during night ( avoid street view ) -water pressure at 5th floor
